Terms & Conditions

Review the general terms for Stix Restaurant & Bar, Lower Plenty. Any questions, please reach out to us.

  1. Valid for 3 years from point of purchase
  2. Cannot be exchanged for cash
  3. Can be used for events or group bookings
  4. Must be presented on day to be valid (either via print out or on digital device)
  5. Bookings recommended

Confirmation of Booking / Deposit

  • A tentative booking will be held for a period of two weeks, after which time if written confirmation has not been received the booking will automatically be released.
  • A deposit specified on the confirmation letter is required within two days of written confirmation being received. If the deposit and confirmation form are not received by the due date, Stix Restaurant & Bar reserves the right to cancel the booking and allocate the space to another client.

Confirmation of Final Numbers

  • Final numbers must be provided a minimum of 3 business days prior to the group booking. The number quoted at this time will be the minimum charged, minimal increases are allowed up until 24 hours prior to the event. 

Minimum Spends

  • Stix Restaurant & Bar reserves the right to apply minimum spends or minimum guest numbers where a room or area is specifically allocated for a group booking. 
  • Where minimum spends or minimum guest numbers are not met, the difference will be considered as a room hire.

Consumption of Outside Food and Beverage

  • No food or beverage of any kind (with the exception of a celebration cake) will be permitted to be brought into the venue by the client or any other person attending the group booking unless by prior arrangement with Stix Restaurant & Bar.

Equipment, Decorations and Entertainment

  • To personalise your group booking or for a unique atmosphere we are able to arrange special equipment, decorations or entertainment through our range of suppliers. Charges will apply dependant on the arrangement through our range of suppliers.

Access to Venue

  • The client is allowed access to the venue 1 hour before the commencement of the group booking. This includes DJ.s, musicians, event organisers and suppliers.


  • The client is responsible to conduct the group booking in an orderly manner and in full compliance with all applicable laws. Stix Restaurant & Bar reserves the right to intervene or eject any or all guests from the group booking if their actions are considered illegal, noisy or offensive.

Supply of Alcoholic Beverages

  • Stix Restaurant & Bar practices and enforces responsible service of alcohol. Stix Restaurant & Bar reserves the right to refuse the supply of alcoholic beverages to any guest attending the group booking that are considered to be underage, intoxicated or behaving in an offensive manner.


  • The client is financially responsible for any damage that is sustained to the venue or any other property owned by or in the care and custody of Stix Restaurant & Bar which is caused by the client or any other person attending the group booking.
  • General and normal cleaning is included in the cost of the group booking, however additional charges may be payable if the group booking has created cleaning needs above and beyond normal cleaning
  • Stix Restaurant & Bar does not accept responsibility for the damage or loss of goods left on the premises prior to, during or after a group booking private or otherwise.

• All cancellations must be made in writing to the Event Manager or Restaurant Manager. If a group booking is cancelled:

  • Less than 21 days prior to the group booking, the deposit will be forfeited.
  • More than 21 days prior to the group booking, the deposit will not be refunded but can be transferred and used as gift vouchers.
  • 1.8% CC fee is applied to all card payments.
  • 15% surcharge applies for all group bookings which run after midnight or are held on a Public Holiday, 10% surcharge applies on Sundays.
  • Payment can be made via bank transfer, card, or cash.
  • All group booking accounts must be paid in full 5 business days prior to the date of the group booking unless otherwise specified. Any extras, such as beverages on consumption are to be paid upon the completion of the group booking.

While we take steps to minimise risk and safely handle the foods that contain potential allergens, please be advised that cross contamination may occur as factors beyond our reasonable control. At Stix Restaurant & Bar, we make every effort to identify ingredients that may cause allergic reactions for those individuals with food allergies however cannot guarantee completely allergy-free meals. This is due to the potential of trace allergens in the working environment and supplied ingredients.
